Westin Hotel and A.I.B. Development

The latest addition to Dublin's list of luxury hotels. The Westin represents the Starwood Hotel and Resorts' first venture into Ireland. The site is located in Dublin city centre and is bounded by College Street, Westmoreland Street and Fleet Street. The building comprises 9 floors of accommodation of which 2 are below ground.
Basement floors contain car parking, hotel "back of house" and Plant areas.
The hotel bar is located in the old Bank vaults and has separate access from the Street. Ground Floor contains the A.I.B bank, reception, restaurant and main banqueting areas. Mezzanine area contains the meeting rooms, business centre and Glazed atrium which rises through to the roof area. Accommodation, comprising 165 bedrooms and 16 suites, which include the 2 storey Presidential suite, cover the upper floors. All areas are fully air conditioned by means of roof-mounted chillers.

This 60 Bedroom hotel was completed in August 2000 for Hannigan Holdings. The original building was completely demolished to allow the project to progress and includes a new function room, bars and restaurant areas.
